Lodging at Pathfinder Ranch in Spring and Fall

You will choose your preferred accommodations from these three options:
o [1] standard dormitory housing,
o [2] upgraded room (which comes in two flavors), or
o [3] a camping spot.
Descriptions of these choices are below. All registrants need to choose overnight accommodations.  There are no “day passes” nor any daytime-only attendance.

Every registration is all-inclusive, consisting of accommodations, food, entertainment, programming, and activities. There are no add-ons or additional fees.  As per the dates in the invitation, we have lower pricing for early birds (through March), our standard pricing after that (throughout April), and higher pricing toward the end (starting May 1).  Better to register earlier, obviously, both for pricing and getting the kind of bed you want.  Some gatherings do sell out, as well.

Our system is set up so that each man, even halves of couples, needs to register himself separately. One person should register at a time and choose their own accommodation.

NOTE:  Housing upgrades are handled during your registration; do not click anything on this page  (like a “Donate” button) expecting that will affect your registration. When you are ready to proceed, click the REGISTER NOW button on the invitation letter.

[1] Standard Dormitory Housing (included in your registration price):

You social animal, you! These are bunk beds in dormitory-style rooms with a common, shared bathroom.  Full plumbing: sinks, toilets, and showers.

As for the bunk beds, most men choose to be bottoms, but as everywhere, some men choose to be tops. If you’re willing to take a top bunk during registration, we so appreciate it; when the bottom bunks are all gone, we potentially lose attendees after that who aren’t capable of taking a top bunk. So the gathering really benefits from every CMG hero willing to take a top bunk. Depending on how many people register, your top bunk may or may not be occupied.

No linens are provided for standard housing.  Bring your own bedding.

[2a] Semi-Private Rooms:

For the quieter contemplative type, these are also bunk beds but in smaller, semi-private rooms. Each room has only two bunks where, most commonly, only the bottom bunks are used. You buy one bunk bed and another man buys the other one in the same room with you. These accommodations also share the common bathrooms of their building. There is no private bathroom. These beds are an extra $200 per man on top of the standard fee. No linens are provided. Bring your own bedding. The semi-private room doors do not lock.

If you know who your intended roommate, you can indicate who will be your upper bunk person during your online registration by noting that in the Semiprivate Roommate question. Please note, though, that the upgraded rooms almost always sell out and we cannot hold the second bed for your friend/partner if the slots all sell out before he registers. Thus, we recommend you sign up on the same day and you must BOTH request each other as a roommate.

Note that it is possible to have someone sleep in your upper bunk(s), but these rooms are sold as “two people per room.” So if you desire to have a person in the top bunk(s), you need to get that OK’d by your assigned roommate. We can connect you with your assigned roommate for that communication, if you do not book a room as a pair. The man/men using your upper bunk would only have to pay the Standard Dormitory price, not the upgrade price. If you are doing this, it is important that you let us know if you’re using the extra beds in your room because this frees up a bed or two elsewhere in camp, which is important for us to know for headcount, especially if we sell out and someone could have used those beds.

We currently do NOT allow one man to book a room solely to himself for the full room cost. If that is something you would be interested in, list that as a special need and, on the off-chance that the Semi-Private Rooms do not sell out, we will contact you.

No linens are provided for SP housing.  Bring your own bedding.

[2b] VIP room in Cabin I [SOLD OUT]

For the two men who wants a “luxury” experience, there is ONE accommodation that we call the VIP Room in Cabin I (that’s the letter “i”) . It has one full size bed (not queen), a small living room space, kitchenette (fridge, sink, microwave), and private bathroom. Blanket, linens, pillows ARE provided for the VIP. The door has a keypad lock for your privacy.

That little suite is an extra $440 on top of the standard fee. You MUST register a roommate for this accommodation.  You will indicate WHO will be your roommate during registration and that man needs only pay the Standard Dormitory rate.

[3] Camping–Tent/Van/Camper/RV:

So you want to camp out?  Good on ya!  We salute you, you brave, outdoorsy, lumber-sexual man. You will have sunny days and star-splashed nights. Pitch your tent, or park your camper, van, or RV on sandy soil. There are no hookups. Perhaps that needs to be rephrased?  No electrical, water, or sewage hookups, that is. Your available restroom will be one of the shared bathrooms in the nearby dormitory cabins. A camping registration is required for each man, even if sharing your tent, camper, van, or RV. The camping accommodation is $25 less than the Standard Dormitory price. Such a bargain!

Regarding RVs, we’ve got room for two of them.  One person in the RV should should use the RV registration choice and any others on the bus just need to sign up for the regular camping registration. Make sense?
